We were aproached to make a good masher, which should be easy to work with. Advantages: The masher has enough open area to allow for potatoes, minced meat etc to easily get through. The pattern of tha mashing plate has been optimized for getting a good mash and reduce need for pushing power. The sides of the masher are straight and at exact 90 degrees angle, from the mashing plate below up to the top. Thereby the masher can easily scrape of from the side of the pot, also when the pot has a radius at the bottom. Further, the masher is also serving as a stirrer, thanks to the 6 upright bars forming the lower part of the handle. Thus there is no need for a secondary tool for the striing when milk etc is added to the mash. The ergonomic design of the handle, having a soft grip in the middle and a flat top allowing for the pressing force applied by the thumb, to be directed straight downwards. This saves energy and makes it pleasant to work with. The masher is an excellent tool for making meat sauce from minced meat. It separates the minced meat down to small particles, all in uniform size! Melting point 265C/509F. |
